Developers Guide In PDF Format For NetAdvantage .NET 2007 Volume 3

On the trials section of our web site: http://www.infragistics.com/downloads/default.aspx?id=2620 and in the My Downloads page:  https://www.infragistics.com/Membership/Default.aspx?panel=Downloads#Downloads you will now find the Developers Guide .PDF's of all the components NetAdvantage .NET 2007 Volume 3.

The Developers Guides are located in the link "NetAdvantage for .NET Vol. 3 Docs (PDF)".

Developers Guide PDF's will be produced for all component product releases from now on.

WPF Hot Fix To Be Re-released September 7th, 2007 May Not Release Until Monday

As mentioned here, the WPF Hot Fix, 7.1.20071.1323 which contains significant performance increases along with a number of fixes is in QA.

As with any QA process, setting of an exact time of release can often be difficult.

The Infragistics QA team is working diligently to try to finish today but has indicated that there is a possibility that release may not happen until Monday, September 10th.

WPF Hot Fix To Be Re-released By September 7th, 2007

The WPF Hot Fix, 7.1.20071.1323, detailed here and here has been pulled from the downloads page and will be re-released by the end of the week.

A serious problem with column alignment was found and Dev and QA are quickly addressing the issue.

I'll post an update when the Hot Fix is on the download page again.

Fifteen Years At Infragistics...Now What?

September 1st marks my 15th year at Infragistics.

You'll find details of my background with the company here.

The way Infragistics is set to explode with new growth I can't imagine what I'll be doing next year, never mind the next 15.

Yet Another New Position At Infragistics

Back in October 2005 I was asked to take on the position of Director of Developer Support Services.

Today I'm now working as Director of Program Office and Director of Technical Communications. 

I'm leaving the improved support department in the capable hands of the new manager of Developer Support,  Vince McDonald.  Vince has been with the support department for a number of years and is intimately aware of challenges of supporting our developer customers.

As Director of the Program Office one of my tasks is to improve the product ship process.  The number of products Infragistics ships has increased dramatically in the last 2 years and requires someone to reach across all departments and communicate problems and propose solutions.  I'm pretty adept at Microsoft Project and somehow manage to juggle a large number of tasks so I guess I was the logical choice.  I got a feeling, after doing a little research, that there will be other challenges under the heading of 'Program Office'.

As Director of Technical Communications I'll be working with a newly promoted manager Tom Puglisi to improve the quantity and quality of the product help files.

It's never boring at Infragistics, that's for sure.

The next private hot fix will likely not ship until late October.
All QA resources are currently dedicated to testing the next releases of NetAdvantage for .NET, NetAdvantage for JSF, and NetAdvantage for WPF.
